The author shows the topicality of the discourse and shows on the basis of various constellations in practical examples how singles and couples can actively check and weigh up their values, wishes and ideas. In this way the longing for a child can be seen as a resource and used as a process as a hint for a worthwhile design of everyday life. A child cannot be replaced, but a happy life can be achieved even without a child. This volume is aimed at therapists, counselors, coaches, all those affected and their relatives. Systemic methods and a transgenerational perspective, for example by integrating the desired child into the family system, are good and successful companions in advising clients.
